Alice Florence (she/her)

Hey! I’m Alice Florence, an illustrator based in Cambridge UK. I enjoy finding fun new ways to create, getting tangled in yarn and covered in paint.

My big love in life in nature. I’ve studied animals since I could pick up a pencil and scribble! I’m constantly looking for ways to show children the characters that animals are. Their funny sides, their deeper emotions and just how valuable they are to us.

I like my work to be thought provoking and joyous, capturing animal and humans’ emotion and connection. Helping children connect with the animal kingdom.

Pencil and paint are what I reach for when I sit down at my desk. Layering colour and creating depth and texture really communicates what I want in my illustration. Then again, I love to pair it back occasionally with a simple line and flatter colour palette.
