Clarisse Beney (She/Her)

Hello! I’m Clarisse Beney, I come from Switzerland and I did my first master's in biology as I’ve always been curious and passionate about how living beings work. Although I loved studying environmental microbiology, illustrating children’s books gives me a different kind of creative freedom. I cannot limit myself to just one passion.

Nor can I limit myself to a single genre. During my master’s degree, I loved exploring a variety of new materials and I realized that I loved creating light, humorous stories just as much as dark, angsty ones. I enjoyed drawing very expressive characters with a simple line as much as I did layer textures to create complex scenes.

I hope to be able to retain these two very different aspects of my creativity and continue to enjoy experimenting and drawing.
