Germana Musco (she/her)

Hi, I’m Germana, I’m from Rome, and I live in London. I am an author-illustrator with a background in architecture and a passion for literature and the arts. Before pursuing my dream career, I worked as an architect, freelance graphic designer, video editor and copywriter, exploring my interest in visual storytelling from different angles.

I am inspired by stories infused with magical realism, dreamy atmospheres, adventures, discoveries and a touch of humour. I am fascinated by misfit or rebel characters and enjoy drawing nature. I love creating imaginary worlds and depicting emotions.

When approaching a project, I usually let the story suggest the direction of my visual experimentation, looking for a way to take children and adults into the dream with me. However, I have a soft spot for considered compositions and painterly textures rendered in energetic colours or monochromatic tones.

A Nosy Journey
