Laura Fuller (she/her)

Hello! I’m Laura Fuller, an American-born illustrator now living in Essex, UK with my husband and son. I graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design in 2010 with a degree in Art History before relocating to the UK and entering into a career outside of the Creative Arts. During a break from work during Covid, I realised that it was a great opportunity to take a risk and pivot back into Illustration.

My illustration style has been shaped by my background in Art History and my early exposure to classic illustrators such as Robert McCloskey, P. D. Eastman, and Norman Rockwell. I am drawn to the same gentle characters, vintage-inspired colour palettes, and quirky stories from history that I loved as a child, and these elements are now prevalent within my own work.

A whimsical take on the classic bedtime poem by Eugene Fields. One night Wynken, Blynken, and Nod set off among the stars, but at daybreak their true identities are revealed. Vibrantly illustrated in watercolour and pencil to complement the dreamy, vintage text.

The Fairies of Cottingley Beck

A fictionalised re-telling of how two young girls proved to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle that fairies exist. A sweet tale from the 1920s rendered in a style inspired by Art Nouveau.
