My name is Yu-Hua and I was born and raised in Taiwan. When I was an undergraduate student, I majored in Visual Communication Design. In this course, I learned graphic design and 2D animation, and graduated in 2012. At the same time, my graduation project was nominated for Annecy International Animated Film Festival (Graduation films).

Due to the passion for illustration, I decided to study Children's Book Illustration in Cambridge School of Art. During my MA degree, I learned to use different ways to present stories and explored new painting techniques. I enjoy working with printmaking, especially monoprint. The main reason why I like monoprint is unexpected result. When printmaking, it is difficult to imagine what the final image will look like until we transfer the image onto paper. Because of this factor, I feel freer to create images and always get surprise and beautiful results.
