Raised on Yorkshire puddings and Hendersons Relish, I stayed in Sheffield to study for my degree. This consisted of filming myself falling over and writing on knitting needles; a brief foray into the world of Fine Art probably best left behind me. Since graduating I have worked in London design and advertising agencies and whilst I learnt a great deal in these previous incarnations, the pull to draw was too great.

I now work part time as a Lecturer in illustration on a Foundation course and write and illustrate children's books for the other part. I find it a much more rewarding way to spend my time and I love what I do. Having reached the end of this course, I will work hard to succeed in becoming a published illustrator of books for children.
