I come from the quiet and foggy Italian countryside. My favourite childhood books were collections of tales from the Italian and European folklore. Mysterious, magical and whimsical stories have always been the ones to fire my imagination the most.  I particularly like working with light and tones, exploring characters' worlds and their personality. I mainly use traditional techniques and very limited colour palettes. I also enjoy working digitally and with printmaking, especially monoprint.

I did my BA degree in Eastern Asian cultures and languages in Venice, while attending a three years comic book course in Padua. I moved to the UK to continue my studies at the Cambridge School of Art, focusing on children's book illustration.
