Campbell Collier
(She/Her)
Campbell Collier is an illustrator and writer originally from Virginia, USA. Having graduated from The College of William & Mary with a BA in Film & Media Studies, specializing in animation, she followed her passion for visual storytelling to the MA in Children’s Book Illustration in Cambridge.
Having grown up drawn to folklore, mythology, and fantasy, Campbell’s stories are influenced by a mix of fiction and her own memories from childhood. She loves world-building and breathing characters to life through linework, texture, and color. Her techniques range from traditional black and white with pencil, ink, and copper plate etching, to digital, watercolor, acrylic, and pastel. Whether it’s within chapter books, graphic novels, or picture books, Campbell finds the joy of storytelling in everything from facial expressions to mark-making and atmosphere.
