Jenni Cornall (she/her)
Hello! I’m Jenni originally from a small (ish) town in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
Growing up not far from the Shropshire hills and coasts of Wales has influenced me and my work massively. I am particularly interested in nature and have a huge love for animals. I actively look for stories about animals to help inspire my projects. I love to add subtle humour to my work and enjoy trying to create warm stories that people can enjoy. I am also particularly interested in telling stories from my own life experiences.
I was lucky enough to be surrounded by stories growing up, my dad was completely passionate about the arts as a headteacher and instilled this into us at an early age. Although I was never the best at art, through determination and passion I learnt as much as I could, which eventually led me onto this MA, which I still feel so grateful to have been able to do!
The past year I’ve become obsessed with mono-printing and more recently off set mono-printing. The process is almost mediative for me and the texture and softness you can achieve (especially with fancy Japanese paper!) is thrilling.

smelly town
Smelly Town is a silly, humorous story following a Badgers unintentional mischief taking all the towns stinkiest ‘treasures’ leaving the locals in turmoil.
the brightest garden
A gentle story of seasonal change and the love of a garden and those who look after it. A child is guided through grief by the embodiment of Winter. With subtle themes of loss of how a child tries to understand when something or someone is gone, they can come back and be remembered in new ways.
Wally- A long way from home
Inspired by a true story, a walrus called Wally ends up thousands of miles from home and becomes a local celebrity. A story with themes of climate change, not belonging and how just a little bit of kindness can make all the difference and even inspire future generations.
