Jinfan Zeng

(She/Her)

Jinfan, also known as Tanya, is an illustrator from China, currently studying in Cambridge. With a background in theatre studies, she has a strong sensitivity to storytelling, rhythm, and character emotions, which naturally inform her visual work.

She enjoys working with watercolour and is also exploring mixed-media approaches. As an illustrator still on a learning journey, Tanya values an intuitive and relaxed way of making. She is an animal lover, often drawing inspiration from nature and animals, and likes to weave a sense of dry, understated humour into soft and gentle visual atmospheres. She has a delicate and personal understanding of storytelling, and particularly enjoys discovering connections between similar shapes within an image, allowing quiet narratives and visual play to emerge.

She is forever learning to see, create, and play with the innocence and joy of a child.
