Linda is Portuguese, South African and has called the UK home for over 20 years. She believes these diverse cultures has shaped how she sees the world and continues to inspire her work.
Her art and illustration practice is driven by her passion for drawing and follows her fascination for storytelling. She is deeply curious and so you will often find her researching various subjects and experimenting with different materials.
She loves to explore different themes and seeks out opportunities on ways visual storytelling can inspire readers to open their mind with their eyes.
At heart she is obsessed on what it means to be human - even if it means drawing a bird to convey this.

Bumbalina - The Bumbling Bee
Bumbalina follows the story of a bumblebee that is made to believe she is not as competent as the honeybees. But through an expected encounter with a flower, she discovers that what makes her different is exactly what makes her extraordinary. This story celebrates resilience and uniqueness and is also an opportunity to educate children of the bumblebee's unique ability to buzz polinate.
Hansel and Gretel
A rendition of the classic Hansel and Gretel portrayed as intimate story of sibling connection rather than a tale of menace. The visual narrative focuses on the combined experience and with it emotional bond between the two children.
Squawk
Squawk is a children's picturebook that explores the notion of collective belonging and place. It is a story told from the perspective of suspecting pigeons, who with the arrival of the unexpected parakeets learn to deal with change.
