Tianyi is an illustrator from Tianjin, China. After finishing her BA in French language and literature, she decided to pursue her childhood dream and began her journey into illustration.
She grew up reading myths and fairy tales, and her background in language studies led to a fascination with ancient stories and the strange imagery of medieval manuscripts. She adores whimsical, romantic stories and images. She often works with dreamy colour palettes to explore a magical atmosphere, using humour and absurdity in her storytelling, aiming to leave space for the reader’s imagination.
