Windy Zhu
(She/Her)
Windy is an illustrator and designer from China, currently based in Cambridge. With a background in interior design, she has worked on art exhibitions, book design projects, and children’s art education activities. While pursuing her MA, she came to appreciate the role of design as a visual language in picture book storytelling. She strives to think beyond illustration, approaching her work as a book designer as well, creating picture books as complete physical objects that open up richer narrative possibilities.
Drawing on traditional culture, Windy also enjoys exploring how the spirit of traditional art can meet contemporary design within picture books. She seeks to craft stories that feel light, playful, and quietly thoughtful, inviting readers to smile.

What Color Am I?
Having no color does not mean having nothing; it means holding all colors and infinite possibilities.
Little Jumpa

Sometimes
Sometimes, is your mood like the sky—shifting between sunshine and sudden storms?
